Apparently I own 12 pairs of shoes. 12 pairs, for one pair of feet. Is that normal??

With your Eve... I mean shoe fettish you should have 1200 shoes woman. Sheesh. And yes, that's normal. You have a uterus, it comes with extra closet space.

I should, shouldn't I? But I think I enjoy looking at 'em and browsing more than I actually like spending money on them. *G* (*snerk* I may be forced to quote that. A lot.)

Alas, I am wanton book-hussy! And you should see how many used book shops are on the street I'm moving to. O_o Way to sabotage my sensible budget, huh?

Heh. It was when I bought my tenth pair of shoes that my mom exclaimed with glee: "You're a girl!" So I think it's fairly normal.

Also, the last time I packed everything I own into boxes I had more boxes of books than everything else put together... But usually, when I tell people about this, they look at me like I'm crazy. So I guess it really is pretty abnormal. *G*

You know, sometimes I think most of the fun of getting any kind of advanced degree is not knowing what you're getting into. ;)

Hee!! Nothing assures a parent that they raised their little girl right like witnessing footwear-induced joy. :-D

On the flip side, if there are enough of us crazy book-lovers out there, it would make the people without a solid ton of reading material the crazy ones. Join me in Denial Land!

Oh my goodness. You have greatly reassured me! :-D You must enlighten me on how the heck you manage to store them without taking up your entire room!

It all went rapidly downhill on the book front when I figured out how to order cheap 'make them yourself' bookshelves from Sears. (As if I'll lack for reading material at law school, eh? *g*)

And in case I haven't mentioned it yet, that new icon of yours is just gorgeous! Makes me wanna dance. :-D

I have shoe storage thingies that hang in your closet! Onehas 20 slots, four rows of 5 and the middle slots are for boots. It hooks onto the bar in your closet and underneath the shoe storage is a bar to hand clothes on. *waggles eyebrows*

the other one hold ten pair and hangs straight down from the closet bar.

Got them both from Walmart.

and the icon was made by lit_gal. She has a whole bunch of women in art icons, and I just asked her to put my name on that one. Thanks!

You own more shoes than me...mind, that's not hard, I think I'm one of the very few girls alive that actually hates shoe shopping (given, I have a good reason for it).

As for the books, I feel your pain. I've been packing up to leave uni and I've ran out of boxes. :| Meaning I am in a wee bit of trouble when my mother shows up tomorrow.

The only thing I hate about shoe shopping is the 'handing over your credit card' part. But that may just be because I'm cheap. *G*

Eep! If there's a liquor store nearby, they're usually awesome for letting you have their empty boxes. (I've got seven vodka cases stacked in my room at the moment. *g* I intend to make an interesting first impression hauling those around!)

I certainly thought so. :-D

I'm generally 7, although I'm quite willing to go a half-size one way or the other in the name of fashion. *G* A shoe-exchange program run through LJ, man! This is not a bad idea! X-D
