I will miss him - his enthusiasm, his foresight and his insistence on creating products that anyone can use. I've been a mac user since the 1980s, and I wish I still had my first baby:

I had the second breed of colorful Mac, a little blue one that lasted 10 years. I love that thing. It still works, though it can't use wireless internet. We've got a desktop now, a couple of laptops and some ipods. I really want an ipad but I'll have to put that purchase off for a few years.
I'll miss him greatly. Funny we feel that way about a person we've never met.
We inherited one of the 1990s models from my aunts and it was pretty impressive then...I mean, the new macs totally blow it out of the water, of course, but Jobs was way, way ahead of the curve from the beginning. I hope Apple doesn't suffer as a result of his loss.
I hope it doesn't suffer, either. We know he wasn't the engineer or the designer or probably the idea guy, but he was the face of the company and the guy who knew what would and wouldn't sell. Heck, that's half of it. Just because you make a great thing doesn't mean people will want to buy it.
It seems like he knew what people wanted even if the people themselves didn't know they wanted it. To me, that's brilliance.
