A/N: I wanted to try writing a pure Wodehousian story, full of humorous misunderstandings, wacky schemes, biting dogs and the like. I am absolutely not comparing myself to the great Plum, who, as we know, stood alone. I am ( Read more... )

This is indeed very Wodehousian! :)

Bertie having to give up alliteration instead of some article of clothing was a nice change. But I have to say I didn't even notice Bertie's alliteration much, it seemed so natural. :)

And I always love when Jeeves dresses up to save Bertie!

Thank you for all the compliments. I chose the alliteration simply because I couldn't think of an article of clothing for Bertie to give up. He's given up so many already that soon he'll have nothing but his birthday suit...Hmm.

Lol, that's a good point!

Could that be part of Jeeves' plan? ;)

Really, it is all the little things throughout this story that make me love it so much. All the phrases and lines that could be considered naughty if squinted at...or not: "Perhaps he had depths even the young master had yet to plumb."

Indeed. XD

You have a gift for creative plot devices and a knack for keeping with Wodehousian characterisation. Truly amazing stuff.

As always, I'm honoured and pleased to be your beta.

I'm honored and pleased that you find time to beta for me. And I have to say it was fun to bung in those thinly veiled slashy lines. Thanks for the kind words, old thing.

Good job on the story! That was quite the Wodehousian plot. :)

Yay for Jeeves coming to the rescue!

As fond as I am of Stiffy, it's too bad she didn't get a more severe smack-down, but at least Jeeves hindered her ability to do more evil.

I wish I could have thought of a way to really get her, but then I didn't want her to become too demoralized. She's such a useful character and I might need her again. I'm glad you enjoyed the story because I certainly enjoyed writing it.
