Been busy making some original art. I only get the urge to do it every once in a while, so when it comes I try to take advantage. I love historical costume (particularly 18th century through 1930s), so that's mainly what I draw.

I went to see the movie with dad on Monday afternoon. I’ve read all the books, but I’d only seen the first two movies in their entirety and most of the 4th, and I was never all that keen on the movies overall (just watched them for the Snapey goodness). Here are some of the photos taken Saturday at the Portland Japanese Garden. It was an impromptu visit, so since only mom had brought her camera we all five had to share it among us, and the battery was low. The day was also overcast, so these pictures don't really do the garden justice.

I wanted this one too, but it was out of stock everywhere I checked, and I didn't really want to wait for it to be re-ordered (I'm still waiting for order confirmation of an out-of-stock CD that was ordered on Dec. 6!). I visited a used bookstore today, hoping to find some sort of Art Deco book, but there didn't seem to be any. However, I did find a P.G Wodehouse golf omnibus and his Blandings Castle novel "Full Moon" (which I happened to have checked out from the library last week).
