"Eyes Wide Open"

This film is just playing in Britain and Europe, as I understand it. I don't have a chance to see it here, I'm sure, but I'll certainly try to get it once it's on DVD. Here is the official trailer with English subtitles and a fanvideo that could be considered spoilery. I noticed someone tried to put the whole thing up on youtube, but it was removed ( Read more... )

WOW!!! I absolutely have to see that. I'll see if the independent cinemas in my city have it!! Two seconds! *hurries away*

*hurries back* YES! Maybe my flatmate will go there with me next week! ^^ I'll write a review then!
Oh, that reminds me of another Israeli movie with a similar topic, "Jossi and Jagger". They showed it at university. I would've loved to watch it.

Oh, please write a review. I've avoided ending spoilers, but I do have an idea of how the movie will have to turn out, religion being such a big part of it.

I can't wait to hear what you think of it.

That looks really interesting. :D I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

OT, but I finished your painting. Can I send you a photo of it now so you can let me know what you think of it before I varnish it?

That's good news. I've seen two other movies that have religion and homosexuality as their focuses. One was well done and the other was downright dull. But neither of those took place in the midst of a such a tightly knit religious community. Also, Latter Days (the good one) and Rock Haven involved young couples, not married people who in cases just as this one have a lot more at stake.

Are you still at Netflix? They don't have it yet but it can be saved.

I'm not right now since we had to cut some expenses around here. I'm going to keep an eye out for the DVD's release and then hopefully we can join up again. If you see it before I do, I'd love a review.
