It's trans day of visibility - my first since really being out as trans - and I'm feeling left out and sad because ongoing COVID restrictions keep me from doing anything with anyone. Send nice thoughts?
I used to be a lot more visible, or at least tried to be. Then I had to retroactively change my whole Facebook timeline to friends-only because transphobes in the Canadian government denying me residency is a real concern. I hate having to hide myself in both of these ways.
I think the odds are lower that any particular official working my case might be transphobic enough to want to fuck with my application just because. But I'm not going to take any chances. This is too big and important a thing.

I think you're visible in other ways, though. Without having to go out into the COVID mist.

Relatable for different reasons. Also, I would have thought Canada to be better than that. Ugh.
