A Great Library Contains Something to Offend Everyone. Including False Quotations.

There is a quotation, almost always attributed to one Jo Goodwin, about how a great library has something in it to offend everyone. I like the quotation, but I can't figure out who Jo Goodwin is or was. Even numerous essays or library websites that cite her as the originator have no information about who they were. I did find an obituary for one

Jo Goodwin Parker is an author, best known for writing about poverty, but I could not definitively connect her to the library quote.
