Identity Introspection

A friend shared a link to an article about how to maintain a queer identity while in a relationship that most people read as straight. Thanks; I think so too. I think it would really help to have a space to be in where people are actively encouraging of atypical gender expression and able to talk through some of these things in depth. I think it would help me feel less of a sense of invalidity.

What you describe is my baseline experience. As a gender invert who presents male and is attracted to female people, I'm totally perceived to be straight and until recently genderqueer was not really embraced as part of the LGBT scene, not with sufficient underrstanding to cause me to feel welcomed and included.

That makes sense. I suspect you have a better personal understanding of a lot of things I've been thinking and feeling than perhaps anybody I've met.

I feel like I should be reading a lot of your writing here more carefully and thoroughly, but I haven't. Doing so makes me anxious for reasons that I have trouble expressing here. Thanks for listening to me regardless; I appreciate that.
