Dropped by from wine_making.

Where do you get your grapes? Living in Wyoming, table grapes are the most available and I hear they don't do so well making wines.

Your ginger peach sounds devine!

My son in law (read: partner in crime) is wanting a juniper/spearmint combo.

Endless, it is endless!

The ginger peach might need I little more ginger. That flavor tends to fade over time.

Table grapes make very grapey tasting wines.

As for purchasing grapes, there is an importer in Baltimore that imports grapes from California every year. I go, taste the grapes , and the ones tasting like they would make the best wine, I purchase.

Are you near a major city? There should be a distributor/importer in your area. Ask at your local homebrew shop. You can order them on line but that's really expensive.

Closest major city is Denver = 350 miles away. Brewshop/wine shop is non existant so it looks like I am out there.

Unless I want to order the base from like EC Kraus or something. But that seems like taking half the fun out of it.

You can purchase from here:

They will ship you frozen grapes. Very high quality, very good grapes, but extremely expensive.
