[If Rinzler ever did video posts, Rex would probably get several seconds of "wat" in response to this. Thankfully he is spared that.]

Query: Advantage of keeping a snake?

[more weird User behavior. you don't invite Grid fauna into the house.]

[THIS IS THE QUESTION OF A CRAZY PERSON. Snakes are their own advantage.]

I enjoy observing them, studying them.

[Lies. Rinzler is the only sane person Program here.

...And maybe Preston.]

Such observation requires personal possession.

[ ... Two confused robots in your post. You are a winner, Rex!

Have a blinking look. ]

I'm not afraid. [ It's not a boast, just a statement. ] The venom- where do they come from?

Not everybody is. It's produced in a highly specialized venom gland.

... Where is that located?

I've never seen anything like- it, before. [ There's a lilting note at 'it'. Is that the right word? ]

Though the event's already past, you might like to hear of [with a flourish] La festa dei serpari. It still exists in your time, so you might already know it. [Yeah, he looked that up. JUST FOR YOU.]

[OH IAGO. SO THOUGHTFUL.]

I haven't heard of it. [He grins, though, because it's something NEEWWWW.] What is it?

inhumandog May 13 2011, 14:03:28 UTC
It's a celebration of Saint Domineco. They drape his statue with live snakes and where those snakes go on the statue determine the success of their crops for the coming year. Serpari are snake catchers. So...feast of The snake catchers.

[ooc: Apologies for any wrong info!]

Did you ever celebrate it?

[OOC: I WILL NEVER FORGIVE-- no I can't tell :c]

Sounds like people. That two-sided thing. [Is that a tiny tiny hint of bitterness in her tone?]

[You want to be bitter about people? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.]

And given the nature of the Barge, you'll find it in greater concentration here.

[Oh god. Snakes]

People keep those thing as pets?

[Dude lived in a jungle. You watched your ass in said jungle because of snakes.]

They aren't things; they're animals. 'Thing' implies something disposable, not a living creature.

then they sneak up and bite you in the ass.

How have you not been bitten in the ass? Seriously. A nest of those fuckers killed off a whole damn group of guys. I dunno what they did but they bit um' I guess.

Probably by not taking my pants off around them. Oh, and by not acting like a completely careless idiot.

Yes, I'm well aware of what a snake's venom is capable of.
