[126] Apologies // Video.

Apr 07, 2011 22:49

[HEY THERE, IT'S REX. And he's hanging out in his temporary room in the TARDIS. He's really just using video to show off the fact that... HE'S IN THE TARDIS, BITCHES. NYAH NYAH CAN'T TOUCH HIM. Anyway, he's sitting at a table with a book in front of him, a hefty ~sssscience~ text. One glove is off, for once, so you can see a scarred hand as he ( Read more... )

being creepy, event: fourth wall day, n-n-n-nanomites, totally innocent, rex + failure = otp

So I guess that means you didn't get my letter.

What'd you do?

Fuck no. Canada's cold. We're somewhere in Nebraska right now, headed for the east coast.

It's one of them old-timey roadside tourist traps you only ever see on TV, about the [spooky hand gestures] mysteries of the corn goblins.

... [serious face] I wish I was making that up.

How is... everyone doing? [ASIDE FROM COLUMBUS, I HATE HIM.]

Little Rock's moping because we split with that group we met up with in Canada. Think she had a crush on a boy, there. I dunno. Girls are hard to read. Preteen girls doubly so.

Buck won't sit still.

[Cue high-pitched happy squealing in the background as things are knocked over]

Wichita and Columbus are both sick, which is why we're stopped. There's a motel right off of this place.

I imagine it must be difficult to come of age after the world ends.

[REX THINKS THEY GOT EACH OTHER SICK BY MAKING OUT, SO HE'S PISSILY NOT GOING TO COMMENT.]

How old is your son now?

[beaming] He'll be three in August.

[Smiling a wee bit.] So he's at that... precocious age. It's good to see you've kept him safe.

Course I have. It's helped that the zombies seem to be dying out on their own.

Starvation, I presume? What will you do when they're gone? Settle down somewhere?

Ehh, we kinda like the whole traveling thing. We might settle down somewhere eventually but there's a lot that everybody wants to see, since we got the opportunity and everything.

Disney was kind of a letdown.

Mm. Understandable.

I felt much the same when I went, as a child. Then again, my problem was the lines... I imagine you didn't run across that issue.

So, I imagine Wichita and Columbus are happy. [SCOWLLLL. Yeah, the pettiness had to come out sometime.]

[He rubs the back of his head] I guess? Honestly I'm doing my best not to pay attention to them. It ain't exactly fun there being just one woman in the group and one of the guys has to be dad to everybody else, y'know.

Not that I even think about her that way, but I'm starting to regret we didn't stick with that group up north.

Of course. [And he manages to pack tons of bitterness in those two words alone.]

Perhaps you should go back to them.

Couldn't do that. This is my family now.

I meant everyone. You could find a woman closer to your age, Little Rock could be with her friend again, and Columbus could die on the great journey.

Y'know it's stuff like that -- makes me really wish you were here.
