Hi, everyone. I'm Shellie (new to the community, in light of recent incidents, I felt it necessary). It was recently brought to my attention that a couple of my stories were plagiarized, so I thought I should apprise the community at large of this, just in case my stories weren't the only casualties.

Hello, my name is Kristine and I will be the mod assigned to your case. Thank you for a great job of documentation - it will be very helpful. Looking over Illusional Cupcake’s page, it does appear that a vast majority of her works on ffnet are either request memes, pairing suggestions, or Q & A - basically mostly interaction type items.

However, there is one thing I specifically wanted to address. It appears that Cupcake’s story Thirty Themes, Thirty kisses (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4312795/1/Thirty_Themes_Thirty_Kisses ) seems to have a direct line from a story called Shadow Realm. (http://www.buzzle.com/articles/shadow-realm-chapter-9.html) As a note, on her ffnet account for that story, she is credited as “ThiefRikku88,” which comes up as an older alias on the Cupcake account.

In regards to the borrowed line you found, that is not one of my alternate accounts.

Also, I think I forgot to mention this in my post, but when I contacted her to ask her to take down the two stories of mine that I knew were plagiarized, she took down a total of FOUR stories. I didn't get a chance to check to see if the other two were also mine, but it's possible that she didn't want to run the risk of getting caught a second time and removed stories that were plagiarized from a different author.

Comparing the stories side by side, based on the screen grabs, I can see several of your lines word for word. However, she has put a slight bit of 'her own style' into some areas, which may make searching for the (possible) original stories a little more difficult on those still posted.

At this point, since we do not know the other two stories she removed, I cannot take those into consideration. However, that is very interesting information. Thank you for your help!

I put a line from Sweetest Delusions into Google, it appears that it is her story as nothing else came up. But I could be wrong.

I think the italics in the "Ice Queen" are a direct quote from Labyrinth, but I'm not a Labyrinth fan so I wouldn't know. I know the line "‘“I wish the goblins would come and take you away, right now.”’" Is a direct quote, there are several other sites that cite it. But nothing else in the prologue appears to be plagiarized. At least not that I can see.

I can look through more of them, if it helps. I have nothing better to do today.

That would be greatly helpful. I did try to search for some random parts before posting, especially lines without 'fandom names.' The only one Google found was the one I quoted, but I did manage to get that on my third try. So that does seem to be a red flag in one aspect.

I do have additional screen caps, in case the line/story gets pulled.

Her older stories appear to be following movie scripts/plot lines. The one that is called 'Beauty and the Beast' for the Final Fantasy VII. The 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' for D. Gray-Man. They seem to be closely following the movie, only with the characters from those fandoms

The italicised dialogue in that prologue appears to be entirely quoted. She's just added the text to explain it, and paraphrased ever-so-slightly in a couple of places.
