Number of cases added to the Watch List: 6 (compared with 6 in 2008)

Number of open cases from 2009: 5. Mods are working to wrap these up as soon as possible.

I find it amazing that there is an entire community of unpaid people working hard to scrutinize all these cases. Who says the internet is only 'pron' and crap (like my parents say, sigh)? The sobriety with which you handle cases like mine (thanks Amaphone, and it's been resolved quietly) are a comfort to those like me who are traumatized when our work is taken without our knowledge or consent. And of course you learn not to believe everyone who has 'an original idea' on FFN, which sadly seems to be the haven for plagiarists. Maybe someday I will understand, but for now I read the cases here and learn more--and maybe someday I will track down that mystery friend who has uploaded and stolen so many stories on other people's accounts! (deadpan) ^_^

And yes, the situation with FFN is rather sad. They used to be fairly responsive, but about three (?) years ago Elvis left the building while the concert kept going.

and maybe someday I will track down that mystery friend who has uploaded and stolen so many stories on other people's accounts! (deadpan)

No, now I wish I had even just ten cents for every plagiarist who says this, so I would be rich enough to pay people to ferret out plagiarists! And then buy me a giraffe XD
