On Jaunary 5th, an anonymous commenter let me know that someone on fanficiton.net had posted two of my fanfics as their own.  The author in question is 'Im-Crazy-Like-That'.

The two stories in question are: (Im-Crazy-Like-That)

1. You Belong With Me  (The 'author' even forgets to change the name of the fanfic in the body of the fic from my title to ( Read more... )

Hello there, I am your mod on the case. It seems that
Im-Crazy-Like-That has pulled the stories so if you could e-mail me those screen caps that would be awesome.

Sure! Do you have a specific email you'd like me to send them to? Also, she contacted me under her new name 'WhatUpBitches' and this is what she said:

Forgive lord for I have sinned,I'm sorry! but in my defence my 'friend' was helping me write these fics infact my 'friend' 'wrote' them and sent them to me in my e-mail! I am trulysorry for the misunderstanding! Your stories are great! And once again I'm sorry! I took all of them down ever since i realisesd hesent me YOUR fics! Seriously, I am so so so so so so so so so so so so so soso so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so soso so so so so so so so so so SORRY!

I have to say it's kind of strange how this is suddenly a friend's story when her Author Notes say otherwise.

Send them to frayen@googlemail.com please and thank you.

Almost always it's the fault of a 'friend'. It's a story we hear all the time.

Okay, done! I might have taken too many though. I wasn't sure how many would be needed.

she could've said which friend, otherwise that message would've been very doubtful, right?

I have to love how first, her 'friend' is helping her write a fic that magically unders up exactly like mine word for word and then in the very same sentence the 'friend' wrote it all! Nothing like contradicting your own lie.

Not another evil, plagiarizing best friend. It's 2010, for pity's sake. Time to come up with a new cheesy alibi, don't you agree?

I wish she'd been a bit creative. Considering that I had to have read the fic to see if it was exactly like mine, I would have read her author's note. Where she said the idea came to her at a friend's house.

I might have gotten a laugh out of it if she'd said aliens made her do it.

Of course, come to think of it, if she was creative enough to come up with a better excuse, she would be writing her own stories instead of stealing them from authors like you, wouldn't she?

creative? if she were, she wouldn't be plagiarizing in the first place, "friend" involved or not! Not deserving of pity.
