Who: Vic (electromexican) and you! What: Vic's memorizing airship plans studying and messing with his Guide at the library When: Today in the morning Where: Library Warnings: None so far
Noi had dropped by the library to pick few culinary books (by few I mean around 5). On her way, she lost herself in the music section, learning that 'Lady gaga' was NOT someone going senile, but yes a singer from Earth. Hm. Humans and their strange names.
She shrugged and grabbed a book about metal - the only type of human music she seemed to enjoy - and on the way back to the library counter, she bumped into Vic's chair and the books fell. The giant woman made an annoyed sound at that, although it was hard to tell if she was angry or not since she was wearing her mask.
His first instinct was to look down and see what happened on the floor. He stood up to help her, handing the books back when he found himself face to face with not a face, but a body. Vic looked up. Madre santa, she's tall.
"Interesting books you got there," he said to her, noticing the array of culinary books and the single book on metal. "Are you a chef here?"
Under her mask, Noi smiled wide "Thanks for the help!" the woman shakes her head amused "No, I just like cooking a lot. I have to keep myself busy after being here for so long."
Aidou had been quietly reading in the library lately. Partly to get away from anyone he knows and partly for research into one of the many things that went on in his head, many which you really don't want to know. Opening a rather advanced science book, he glanced at the pages, but not before glancing up against at someone playing with what he guessed was the guide that people seemed to always keep on them.
Placing a bookmark in his reading place, he closed the book and leant over slightly, a smirk slightly appearing on his face for that brief moment before turning into a smile.
"What are you doing there?" He made sure to keep his voice as low as it would allow so that he couldn't get told off by whoever was the librarian at the time.
"Hm?" Vic looked up. The blond guy smiled brightly at him, so he smiled back. "Just messing with the Guide. Trying to figure out the ins and outs of it."
His eyes shifted from his face to the science book. Vic's eyebrows shot up. "You really like science, huh."
"You're trying to figure out everything about the guide?" He had to ask, he just thought it did the basic things, he never did think to expand on that and test it further. "It seems to be a lot of work in order to do that?"
When he was questioned about his enjoyment of science he glanced at the book again. "Yes, I do rather enjoy it. I use to write papers back home, so it's nice to try and get back into this type of thing again."
"Naw, it's not really that hard. It's complicated but I've got time. I don't think we're going anywhere." Vic shrugged. "It does a lot already but I want to know if it can do more or less or stuff more efficiently."
He looked at the book again, impressed by how big it was. "Were you a scientist on your world or what?" Vic liked to read, sure, but he didn't know if he was really up to reading a science book just because he felt like it. Then again, he could learn something new and different about the tech here from what he knew.
Bart wasn't one for hanging out in libraries or anywhere associated with homework in general, but the ship's library just had so much stuff. Holo-vids and games and comics and movies and even books, if people actually liked that sort of thing. There weren't any teachers around to tell him to be quiet or anything, but he figured it was still easier to move at super speed to check things out and return them, just in case. The librarian hadn't said he couldn't sign everything out under 'Impulse', either, so that was a bonus
( ... )
Vic's sort of shocked by the kid, who just showed up out of literally nowhere and just started asking questions at a million miles a minute. When he looked over, he saw the outfit. "Man, there are a lot of you guys around here." Vic sets his Guide down, making sure to back out of the airship plans and keeping them somewhere on the system only he knew. "No, just messing with this. I'm trying to see if I can improve or customize it."
Bart glanced around the library; it just didn't look like many people were around. "But it's not even that crowded..." he muttered. His attention was drawn back to the boy at the table. He was still interested, even though it wasn't exactly about video games. Sliding into a chair on the other side of the table, he stacked his comics off to one side and nodded in understanding. "Oh, like hacking your Gamestation to change the background and stuff, I get it! I hadn't even thought of trying that! You must be really good with computers!"
"No, no, I meant capes. You've got the outfit," he said as he tugged on his sweatshirt.
Vic glanced at the stack of comics then back to him. "Yeah, something like that," he said with a grin. "I can try and modify yours if you want. I'm only messing with the OS I haven't gotten to messing around with its wires yet."
