WHO: Maraich, Kiriko, Kaoru, and anyone who wants to show up! WHAT: Maraich's April Fool's Wedding WHEN: April Fool's afternoon WHERE: Class Act WARNINGS: Mass confusion

Kiriko was, by now, very used to coming down to Class Act regularly to get treated by Maraich. As the Doctor's cooking was just barely satisfactory, he'd come to appreciate being able to taste genuinely good food with minimal effort. And Maraich had definitely spoiled him against other restaurants on Thor - the "earthly" and cozy feel of Class Act compared to the higher-tech, uncannily perfect matter-compiling restaurants aboard made Maraich's establishment an obvious choice.
But something was very different today, and no sooner had Kiriko walked through the door did he want to turn around and run away.
"...What on earth..."The place was teeming with more "customers" than usual - and the restaurant was oddly decorated with unnecessary party props and hall streamers. It was as though Maraich had been entirely serious about a wedding reception taking place later this evening
( ... )
And Maraich seemed perfectly happy as he trotted up to the door, some food prepared and a pink ballon that said "Sweet 16" in hand.
"Doctor Kiriko!" he pretty much announced his presence to the entire restaurant, "I thought you'd be here pretty quickly."
He had a dish of shrimp scampi in hand, and gestured behind him, "Why don't you sit down somewhere so you can eat? I already have this ready." And, with a bit more hesitation, he held out the balloon, "Want a balloon?"
From where he was keeping an eye on the supply of shrimp scampi and caesar salad, Canada spotted Doctor Kiriko come through the door - and stop.
...Canada felt so badly for him. This was an April Fool's joke of massive proportions, and it seemed that some of the people here had taken Maraich completely seriously.
Embarrassed by his own part in it, he looked down to intently study a bowl of the salad he'd made. (Should he have added more cheese...?)
Sometime after getting Kiriko set up, Maraich headed back to the kitchen to do some more work. Not much seemed to slow him down - but he spotted Canada on the way.
"Why do you look so down today? Everyone's having a party!"
[Let's be honest. Ashura was shocked to hear the other was getting wed. He thought he might have heard more about it from little Ashura, but it was in the past now.
So he showed up, dressed to the nines for a wedding (or the not wedding, either way he was prepared). He even had a small white box for a gift for the couple.]
[Which would be the cause, even if he could not swallow Maraich getting married. The man had not spoken of his lost love as if he could so easily turn around and marry another.]
