Who: Haruhi Fujioka (traponreverse) and YOU. What: Shopping in the local grocery store. When: Today! Where: The ...local grocery store! Warnings: None!
[ In Haruhi looks to the ground she may notice a long trail of blond hair going down one of the aisles. And from that very same direction something excitable is happening. ]
[Rapunzel found this grocery store and decided to check it out. Eating a bunch of newly discovered (for her anyway) fast food places can't be healthy, so she wanted to check out other food. In front of her stood some alien woman handing out free samples of some wiggly thing. ]
Wait! So you mean to tell me, I can just take one and I won't need to pay? Are you serious?
[well, it would be hard to miss the sparkle of gold right beneath her, and when she glances over to see what it is (a dropped watch?) she jolts a little when she sees it's a trail of long long looong blond hair. and that could only really be one person, since it was a trait that stood out quite a bit
so she followed the golden trail (follow the yellow brick roooad) until she spotted the girl gushing over free samples. a weird free sample, at that. haruhi was a brave sort when it came to eating food, but she tended not to try things that actually...moved of their own accord. she'd been down that road a long time ago and it was not a fun one.]
Rapunzel?
[still, she seemed to keep running into this girl everywhere.]
But why is it wiggling? I guess.. it doesn't hurt to try, right? [ She gives the worker a sheepish smile but whips her head around when she hears her name. She throws up the tiny plastic cup of wiggly creature and runs over ]
[kjdshg Haruhi watches as the cup she threw up floats in the air for a split second, and then lands in a very large alien woman's cleavage. she begins flailing her arms and tentacles (she has both!) and the employees crowd around her, trying to help.
...it's best to pretend like she didn't see that.]
[There is a woman at the store studying the vegetables with intense focus. As if those radishes are fascinating.]
[Her eyes start to glow red as her sensors scan the produce.]
Calculating approximate mass based on volume...
Calculating freshness quotient...
Calculating optimal selection from mass/freshness ratio...
[And she sets aside some of the other radishes, and picks up the most remarkably unremarkable of the bunch, and proudly adds it to her shopping basket. Next up: onions!]
[haruhi continues on to the vegetables, finally having grabbed the pork chop of her choice. thick, juicy, and probably a good brand to freeze just in case she didn't end up using it right away. that was the good thing about meat, it could be frozen for a while!
she spots the woman studying the vegetables like they were the meaning of life, and watches curiously. she was all for examining goods before picking them up, but she was so intent...
and what was she saying? it sounded weird, as far as she could hear. she moves a little closer, reaching for an onion and studying it herself. was that ...mold on the side of it?? she can't tell.]
[In the grocery store, looking at the meat is a green bear with a height disadvantage, but this store's made for everyone... he's on a stepping stool. No comment though; he doesn't seem bothered by the turn of events, busy trying to decide what to get. There's... a lot of variety, that's for sure.]
[yeah, she's kind of just staring at him now. sure, she's seen her share of weird things around here, but a bear... a tiny green bear... it was so familiar and yet... not. and so tiny.]
[Flippy doesn't notice. He's scanning the meat... oh, they have deer meat? Wait, what is a Ferreduck? Why is that next to a bag of assorted eyes? Where's the beef people??]
I fear I may already be too late...playing_thefoolMarch 22 2011, 09:37:55 UTC
[Souji, meanwhile, can be found not far from you, loading up his cart with bacon strips... and bacon strips... and bacon strips... In fact, it appears he's just buying all the bacon in the store, from the look of things. Bother him?]
[Giselle was wondering around the many aisle of this store, stopping where the meats were usually placed and looking at the many different kinds that were there.]
I hope these poor animals weren't kill horribly for their meat.

Please excuse me, but that onion is contaminated and not safe for human consumption. It is strongly advised that you select another.

I'm sure they wouldn't do something that horrible.
[It takes a couple of moments before she realises someone is talking to her.]
Oh, hello there.

I don't think so either. They probably have ways of making it... okayish.
