...And just when he thought he had Chihaya figured out.

"Honestly?" Tucking his hands into the pockets of his slacks and slouching subtly, he sighed and looked away, over Chihaya's shoulder at the shop's front window that was almost too covered in dust to see through. "Not so great."

Part of him wanted Chihaya to go away. He was having difficulty dealing with his own emotions; piling the young angel's much louder ones on top was not going to help the situation at all. And yet...the other part of him wanted Chihaya's company. The boy's painfully heartfelt sympathy was simultaneously welcome and not. Deciding which it was, from one instant to the next, was impossible at this time. So he'd keep him here until he could figure it out.

Okay, it was time to be brave and suck it up. This wasn't about him, this was about Crowley, and Chihaya needed to muster up whatever courage he could for his friend. At the same time, Chihaya also realized the importance of wording and intent.

He made to reach out for one of Crowley's hands, but promptly abandoned the idea when the fallen angel tucked his away. In return, Chihaya attempted to make the movement somewhat less awkward by directing his fingers to adjusting the bow in his hair. Success rate? Marginal, of course

Well... that was a bad start. Undeterred, Chihaya continued onward, sans overly sentimental hand-holding.

"If, um, if there's anything I can do for you, please tell me." Chihaya said earnestly. Then, almost as an afterthought, he added, "...Even if it's leaving you alone for a bit."

"You don't have to leave." He was here now, after all. Dragging his gaze away from the window and back to Chihaya, he shrugged a little. "Do you want something to drink? There's chocolate." There was always hot chocolate; the angel kept his cupboards well-stocked.

"Hot chocolate?" Chihaya pondered that immediately.

It really did sound delicious, and Chihaya's sweet tooth raged especially during times of great stress. And if it was going to help Crowley as well....

"Yes, please!"

"Come on back, then." He followed the invitation with a short jerk of his head in the direction of the back room before turning and leading the way there.

Everything was just as the angel had left it, and just as Crowley remembered...perfectly and lovingly replicated by his counterpart to exactly match the room that no longer existed in Soho, because Soho itself also no longer existed.

"Have a seat," he said, indicating the table.

He could just conjure the hot chocolate, but he does it the way Aziraphale would. Stepping over to the stove in the small kitchenette, he puts the kettle on and gets out a pair of mugs and locates the chocolate mix - the canister is only half full, and for some unexplainable reason, that bothers him.
