Who: leftacreampuff and yellow_snakeyes What: Aziraphale has disappeared and Crowley is not so seekritly depressed. Chihaya comes to cheer him up! When: February 1st Where: Mr. Fell's Rare Books Warnings: Chihaya ( ... )
Even as he landed (amongst a small crowd of aliens shouting profanities at him) Chihaya continued to move forward, pushing so he could meet up with Crowley as soon as possible. During his flight, his mind had buzzed with thoughts and his heart raced with emotion. He felt, for lack of better words, panicked. Panicked that Crowley found himself in the same rut Chihaya did when Kagetsuya disappeared-- a rut from which he never really recovered.
So when he demanded that the door opened and rushed inside (smacking a poor passerby in the face with an unruly wing) he immediately shouted Crowley's name, breathing heavily.
Crowley had been sort of gingerly poking through the various dusty shelves, inspecting the contents and keeping an eye out for any stray, lurking Bibles when he heard the shop's door open, followed by a string of alien curses and Chihaya's familiar voice shouting his name.
"I'm right here," he said, coming to the end of the aisle so that Chihaya could see him. He glanced behind the young angel at the angry alien who was attempting to follow him in. At the sight of Crowley's raised eyebrow, the annoyed creature seemed to decide it had other things to do rather than tell off an annoying kid for smacking it in the face with one over-sized wing, and disappeared back outside.
Completely oblivious to the events that just transpired, Chihaya trotted forward, coming to a halt right in front of Crowley... where he also decided it would be a great idea to double over, hand on knees, as he tried to regain his breath.
"I... h-hurried here... as fast... as I could..." he huffed, his wings drooping low as a clue to just how much the little angel hurried himself along. Almost as an afterthought, Chihaya expended the bit of power necessary to melt his wings away with the soft sound of ruffling feathers.
His eyes meandered up, sorrowful and apologetic. Crowley, you'd best prepare yourself.
He watched Chihaya silently, stifling a sigh at the kid's overboard dramatics. Since he apparently couldn't help it, there was no point in getting irritated over it. It was, he had come to learn, just Chihaya.
"I can see that," he said, not unkindly. He took in the steady progression of Chihaya's gaze, noted the sorrowful look in his eyes, and braced himself for what he suspected was going to be a spectacularly heartfelt and emotional hug.
Chihaya stood up slowly, stepping back, shoulders hunched, ready to move forward.
But instead of the usual heartfelt hug, Chihaya dipped his head low, breaking eye contact and making the teenager seem even smaller than he already was. He chewed at his lip, mulling over his words and trying to find the right way to put them together.
Finally, he mustered up the courage to gaze back up at the much taller man.
"...How are you feeling?" he paused, "I-I mean... I... know..."
Aaaannnd back to the lip chewing. Chihaya had the feeling that he was about to say something wrong, if he hadn't already.
