Denmark is sitting on the couch that also doubles as Iceland's bed, surveying the scene with a calm look that also absolutely radiates smugness. There are a very little gifts under the tree for both Norway and Iceland-trinkets he picked up here and there, things like socks, Denmark isn't one to skimp out on quantity-but also the actual gifts, and half the cause of his smugness. A fancy envelope in heavy paper for Norway, but nothing-in the room-for Iceland.

As it is, though, he just sits on the couch and drinks gløgg, kind of only a little bit wishing Sweden and Finland were here too. It's a passing thought in an otherwise lovely mood.

Since Iceland is the "kid" of the family, or at least the younger brother, Norway thinks that it would be only right for him to open the first gift of his choice.

After checking his gifts one last time, Norway goes over to the couch and flops down next to Denmark. He reaches for his own cup of gløgg and says over the rim of it, "Ice should open his gifts first, yeah?" He has a good idea of why Denmark seems so smug so he doesn't really tease him about it, at least not yet. And anyway the holiday has put him in a pretty good mood.

Denmark, of course, immediately throws a friendly arm around his partner, pulling them close together. It's kind of too bad he can't use cold as an excuse, but why would best friends need excuses anyway? Still, even he has to admit it's a little weird to have Christmas without freezing cold weather.

"His little gifts. Ya gotta work up to a climax…" and he squeezes Nor's shoulder in a friendly way- "And ya gotta open some of yers, too!"

With which Norway would agree; the lack of snow was something he was not used to, the inability to make snow creatures or snow lanterns or even trudge through it to do chores. Cold is an excuse for things like fires and staying indoors with family.

Norway says, leaning into Denmark a little, "Yer gonna open some of yers, too?"
