That was...rater fast of Fai. Maybe it just seemed that way because Echo has been that nervous the entire time. The tree was probably the only thing keeping her legs from collapsing. It was her shield, but was she ready to leave it?

Now it was Cruz's turn to get nervous. Not as nervous as Echo was at the moment, but he was anticipating something. Who was here with them? There was no way it was the person he was thinking of, right? And for that matter, why would she suddenly appear when they were going to talk about her?

"U-uh... Okay. I didn't think someone else would be here with us."

Fai just smiles softly and looks over his shoulder.

"Echo...Come here."

There was a delay between Fai's direction and Echo processing it. Deep breaths. Deep breaths. Slowly, Echo stepped out from her hiding place for Cruz and Fai to see.

Well, despite the preparation, Echo couldn't manage to unglue herself from the tree. A-at least she came out?

And that's when his heart skipped a beat. Or maybe even two beats. Even though he had an odd feeling it was going to be her, he still couldn't believe it!

But was that really the same Echo, though? Without the uniform on, she almost looked like a different person to him. And he couldn't take his eyes off of her dress either.
