TELL ME DOCTOR, WHERE ARE WE GOING THIS TIME?

After responding to the Doctor Rose had made the choice to slip out of the New Arrival's office and wait in the hallway. It somehow felt a little bit less overwhelming to her, sitting in an out of the way corner and watching the people mull by. At least no one was really actively paying attention to her, which gave her a little time to consider the present situation.

There were a few things she had known coming in. Her Doctor was gone, replaced by this new one. The TARDIS had crashed. But somehow, now the Earth was gone. And the new Doctor, as well as several other people, had experienced a large chunk of her life she hadn't been present for. Here were people she likely should know and trust, and she barely knew their names

The Doctor stood in the midst of the crowd trying to spot the familiar, tell-tale blonde hair of Rose. He scanned the entire room for her, but she wasn't anywhere to be found amongst the groups of people that had gathered here.

He tried yelling her name a few times, hoping that wherever she was, she might look up or turn around and see him, but no such luck. Wherever she was, it wasn't here.

Which was a problem. The ship was massive and really quite easy to get lost in. If Rose had wandered off, there'd be no telling where she'd ended up. Maybe she'd gone to her room already? He supposed it could be worth a shot looking there and hope for the best. With a sigh, he exited through a different hallway than the one he'd come through.

That is, he would've if he hadn't nearly tripped over someone. A very blonde and very familiar someone with a phone in her hands.

She wasn't really paying attention, too lost in her own thoughts, but when someone nearly smacks into you, that has a way of knocking you out of your daze.

"Oi, watch i-Oh!" Rose's protest died on her lips when she looked up and saw the Doctor. It was weird, she'd spoken to him on the Guide, and she'd seen him transform, but her mind was still having trouble connecting this man to the man she'd travelled with for a year.

She could make an attempt, though. Smiling a little weakly she slid her phone into her back pocket, tilting her head slightly.

"Having trouble walking? People are solid, you know."

He managed to catch himself in time, but not before he felt the very solid presence in front of him. An apology was already half way out of his mouth until he heard the voice -

"Rose!"

He righted himself quickly, a smile quickly making its way onto his face before he could help it and held out a hand to her.

"Sorry, bit distracted. I got worried when I didn't see you in the arrivals' office," he explained.

The Doctor realized he must've been staring, but to see it on the guide and in person were two different things. Rose was here, in front of him, so very solid (as she'd mentioned) and real. Part of him wanted to hug her, but the rest of him kept him at bay as he realized that might not be the wisest course of action when she hardly knew him.
