In a sense. With her eyes, she can temporarily alter the actual wavelengths of radiation we are dependent on to form perception. Though in some cases, the change can become a permanent adjustment. Still, the term "cure" is not entirely accurate.

Probably. We tend to be a bit biased towards the ones we're close to. But then, you have to have done something to have earned such loyalty in the first place, so.

Just means one has to keep looking. Having a set decision based on hastily-discovered information could be disastrous.

I think that may be why I can never stick to just the sciences. They're a little less complicated than people can be in that regard, but the complexity is part of what makes it fun.
