[While walking about, Kai felt defeated. How could anybody not tell her about what's going on with the cheerleading squad? Do they just not exist? Tired of waiting on others to come to her, she decided she will come to them!
She starts opening every door possible to see if someone is available, and is starting to feel pretty annoyed, until she opens one that has a rather interesting smell attached to it...

She doesn't know why, but once seeing the two koalas stare at her, she feels compelled to sit down and pet them.]

[Polly blinks as a girl walks in and, without any introduction at all, starts petting the koalas. Seeing how discouraged the girl looks, however, she smiles at her. Maybe she's just shy.]

Hello. What's your name?

[All of a sudden, Kai is pulled out of her trance and hears a soft voice asking a question. She immediately "wakes up" and looks straight at her. She starts to blush right away and looks down at the ground.]

K-kai...sorry about that. I dunno why but I felt so disoriented. I think I better stay still...it's been a long day and I haven't eaten lunch yet.

[Polly's smile brightens a little.]

It's alright, you can stay here a while. And I can give you something to eat, if you want...

[Kai brightens up when hearing her gentleness and calms down some]

Oh wow really? Thank you so much. How rude of me to walk in like that without introducing myself. Who are you? Are you a teacher around here?

[The girl nods, and for all the world it looks like she pulls an apple out of thin air.]

I'm Polly. This month, I'm the school psychologist.

[Smiling, she offers the piece of fruit to Kai.]

You looked really distracted. Is something the matter?

[This month? Does this mean she doesn't have long time experience?]

[Oh god, shut up Kai! It doesn't matter, you finally got help! Now calm down and eat that apple. You're clearly delirious.]

[Looking a bit annoyed, she takes the apple from Polly and munches on it. After five minutes of eating, she looks towards Polly.]

Thank you. I'm just all over the place at the moment so excuse me! Anyways...I was being stressed because I was going all over the school looking for teachers left and right. It seems like nobody is available at the moment! Is there something going on?

[At the first thought, Polly's shoulders sagged a little, but she rallies herself. Even without experience, she can still help, and she is determined to try.]

I don't think anything special's going on--only classes. What did you need a teacher for?

Really? That's weird...because I just kept on hitting empty whenever I ran into a room. OH WELL! I'm just glad I found you. Now the reason I am asking around is because I wanted to know about after-school activites, mainly the cheerleading squad. Nobody seems to know who the leader is, or if we even have one in this whole high-school!

[Seems like nothing is the same anymore after my home disappeared. Why bother looking when you know it's not the same regardless?]

[Polly blinks, tilting her head. She's been on the Thor for nearly two years, but there are still things she'd never heard of. This is one of them.]

[Stunned by this question, Kai becomes wide-eyed and accidentally pats too hard on the koalas.]

Wu-what? Really? You...you never heard of that before?

[I never though I'd feel four feelings at once, but she finally accomplished it. What an interesting person!]

[She then takes out her small notebook and quickly writes down some information.]

[She blinks, watching the girl write.]

No, I've never heard of one... They didn't have them where I come from, and I don't know if they have them, here...

[She leans forward hesitantly, as if she almost wants to get up and peek over the girl's shoulder to see what's being put down in the notebook.]

[Kai then slows down her writing and looks on, feeling a bit sad. She then notices that Polly is very close to her and smiles.]

Really? Well that totally perked me up. In fact, here's an official definition of Cheerleading squads you were asking about earlier:

Cheerleading is a physical activity, sometimes a competitive sport, based on organized routines, usually ranging from one to three minutes, which contain the components of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers, and stunting to direct spectators of events to cheer on sports teams at games or to participate in competitions.
The term squads are just what they call a group of cheerleaders working together.

[When finished, Kai then put the dictionary back and took out her small encyclopedia of crewmembers. She then opens a certain section to show Polly.]
