[What's a personality core doing in a bar, you ask? Certainly not drinking, since he has no mouth to do so. Certainly not sitting, since he's more or less nicely attached to the ceiling until further notice.

He's watching, too.

Everything about the Thor is of interest to the little core, especially since he's still a vaguely new arrival. Most of the crowd is conversing and drinking, but Wheatley spots someone who is not. This is of interest in itself.

He zips on over, on these odd little ceiling rails that seem to be just about everywhere on the Thor now. How convenient for him, honestly.]

[He'll stare, too.]

[Castiel has the oddest sensation of being watched. He can see or sense everyone in the bar, and no one seems to be paying that much attention to him.

Then he glances up and finds something hanging from the ceiling that wasn't there before.]

... Hello?

[Wheatley blinks, then responds quickly when the stranger notices him hovering above him.

Awkward. Silly of him, to think no one would notice him just because he's on the ceiling.]

Er, hello there. Good evening. Ah. How... how are you?

I'm fine. [That seemed to be the standard response when people answer that question.]

Are you part of the ship?

Oh, good. That's good. Just asking, because, well, it seems to be the proper thing to do. That and... you're not doing a lot. Isn't the point of this place to drink and talk with others? I don't see much of that on your part.

No, no. I'm a refugee, actually. Just not an organic one.

I believe that is what most people do here, yes. I'm just observing.

[Interesting. No wonder he didn't sense this one.]

I apologize. I'm not used to dealing with mechanical life forms.

It's odd, because I've found that most people aren't used to dealing with us... mechanical life forms, as you put it. To me, it's perfectly natural.

Of course, ah, I am slightly biased in that respect.

Why are you just observing? Not fond of the actual drinking part?

Every world has its differences, it seems.

[He takes a moment to decide how to answer the question.]

Drinking alcohol doesn't have as much effect on me as it would for a human. There doesn't seem to be much point in spending money on something I don't need and can't really use.

[Wheatley sounds surprised.] Oh, so you mean you're not human? Could've fooled me; you look just like one, after all. What are you, then? Some intergalactic alien? A... a ghost? [Now he's just getting excited] Or, or... maybe some magical creature in human form? Like a unicorn, except probably not that silly.

...No, I'm not a unicorn. I'm an angel.

[Which is not silly at all, thank you very much.]

What? An angel? [He laughs.] You're joking.

You... are joking, right? [one look at that srs face makes Wheatley doubt it.]

No, I'm not joking. ... I'm not very good at joking.

...Ah. Well. That's a shame. The joking part, not the angel part. No shame in being an angel, as they say! Or rather, as I say. Just said.

[anyway.]

Which one are you, then? I don't know of very many angels; actually I don't know of any at all, but I've heard a few names tossed about here and there. Michael, Raphael, errr...

...other names that end in 'el', so on and so forth.

[He raises an eyebrow before answering in a very dry tone of voice.]

My name is Castiel.

Oh, Castiel. Castiel. With an 'el' at the end. That's a good angelic name, I think.

Right, then, my name is Wheatley.

The 'el' means 'of God'. God was our Creator and our Father.

What brings you in here tonight? You can't drink, can you?
