[What's a personality core doing in a bar, you ask? Certainly not drinking, since he has no mouth to do so. Certainly not sitting, since he's more or less nicely attached to the ceiling until further notice.

He's watching, too.

Everything about the Thor is of interest to the little core, especially since he's still a vaguely new arrival. Most of the crowd is conversing and drinking, but Wheatley spots someone who is not. This is of interest in itself.

He zips on over, on these odd little ceiling rails that seem to be just about everywhere on the Thor now. How convenient for him, honestly.]

Ah. Really? Well! That does explain a lot.

Oh, no. I lack the proper utilities for actual drinking. I've only popped in to have a look around, is all. Everything about this ship is so... so interesting! Wouldn't you say?

I agree. I often find myself just watching the other passengers.

Is that what angels like to do, then? Watch people?

Hmm. I wouldn't say it's what we like to do as much as it's what we were created to do. We watched over humanity.

I do find it enjoyable though.

Right, up until the Earth exploded? Aha- [Wheatley realizes that might have been an awkward joke, suddenly] -ahem.

Not just humans here to watch over. Aliens of all sorts. I saw a fellow not too long ago sporting eight legs. Like an octopus, but not.

[Sigh. Don't remind him.] So they tell me. I was not aware that had happened until I arrived here.

Really? So even that information escapes an angel? Odd. I really wonder what manner of place this ship really is, at times.

Angels don't know everything. Only God is omniscient.

[He's taking that question seriously.]

My theory is that this ship is a multi-dimensional nexus point.

Oh... ah. Right. [What's a core to say to that?]

[Wheatley pauses. A multi-dimensional nexus what?]

Of course. That. I mean, all signs point to a nexus dimensionality... thing you said.

It's just a theory.

[Now he's curious though.]

What did you do before you came here?

I was... er, I am a personality core, and I was from a testing facility. A laboratory, so to speak.

I don't know what a personality core is.

[mashyspikes]

Right- I, ah, need to learn to explain that part afterwards, don't I? Everyone always wonders about that part. It is what it sounds. I'm a core, you see? Very core-like; round and all that. And... I have a programmed personality! Make sense?

I suppose so. What does a personality core do?

Well, whatever the scientists put us to. Or whatever we're bossed around to do. I, for example, took care of the humans in stasis for an ungodly- er, unrecorded amount of time!
