For whatever reason, I scheduled a million (three) appointments with various doctors yesterday and felt like a prize-winning pig by the end of it. And while I don't excel in many things, one thing I am SUPER GREAT at is being healthy, evidently. Like, two doctors came in with mine to marvel at my labs and my EKG. I'm apparently textbook healthy, so ( Read more... )

I have been planning to make that onion jam for months. Thanks for the reminder *looks in over full refrigerator*...this is what happens during a cold snap.

I'm roasting Brussels sprouts, too! They're my favorite snack these days.

Oh man, I'm picking up a pork tenderloin this afternoon and plan to jelly roll it with that jam inside. MMMMMMMM.

How can people not like food? FOOD IS SO GOOD. *pats belly*

I'm picking up a pork tenderloin this afternoon and plan to jelly roll it with that jam inside. What a terrific idea!

i do not understand people that don't care what they eat. They are totally missing out on one of life's great pleasures. With SXSW just around the corner, I have to make a quiche and gather sandwich makings so we don't have to depend on crap Tex Mex at all the parties everywhere. I am not a fan of processed cheese.

how we can live where we do and STILL come across shitty Tex-Mex is appalling, I must say.

Mmmm, quiche! You always make such nummy sounding meals, I must say.

Oh, I just wanted to tell you that I saw someone pimping Kindred Spirits on tumblr the other day, so there's still interest. It's a really good fic.

Wow, really? That's so cool! And thank you very much. I'm pretty proud of it, but that doesn't always mean it's going to hit other people's interests. I'm glad to know you liked it! <3

I knew SOMEONE would be right there with me re: pap smears being HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES. And I have lady doctors! You know they've had shitty exams before.

THAT SANDWICH SOUNDS SO DAMN GOOD. The only thing I would add: cheese. I don't even know what kind. Brie? Oooh. Holy smokes, I bet that was DELISH.

when your first half dozen or so make you cry and bleed and be sore for days after, you appreciate a good one!

So I take it close to 300 comments is only low for TW/Sterek? ;-) Why must I always be writing in the small fandoms? Sigh.

Mmm, bacon.

Well, half of those are my replies. AND YEAH. TW/STEREK IS RIDICULOUS. Some fics have SEVEN THOUSAND + Kudos. It's insane! But you bring up a good point. I need to shut my mouth and be happy with what I have. (I have written niche fics for years in small fandoms. I got spoiled.)

BACON. I mean, it's just so GOOD.

Oh no, you don't need to shut your mouth. How would you eat the bacon then? ;-) I'm just shocked at the number of comments stories get in that fandom/pairing. Crazy!

Hahahaha! EXCELLENT POINT.

Oh my goodness, the first time I saw one of the popular fics in TW (DILF, and it's an adorable AU) had one hundred and something thousand hits and nine thousand kudos, my mind was blown.

The good thing about a huge fandom is that the fic well is almost bottomless. There are so many great writers in the TW fandom.

I WANT THE BACON ONION JAM PLEASE.

IT IS SO GOOOOOD AND EASY. I mean, it's time consuming in that it take a long time for the onions to cook down to mush, but it's SO GOOOOOOOOOD.

*hugs you all up* I am so sorry you've been having such a phenomenally rough time lately! If I could smoosh food through my monitor to yours, I would.
