He pulled her? I thought she pushed him! I mean, she's the one who was fantasizing through the whole show! I thought it was all her exuberance (not that he wasn't helping)! Now I'll have to buy it, I need to know who was more 'involved' as it were! :)
Oh, well maybe it was a mutual thing - whatever whoever it was wonderfuly romantic and so much better than that mother bird regurgitating for it's baby bird kiss from the other one! LOL
Are you trying to spoil my fun by picking on me? :P Can't work, I enjoyed it too much.
As for the liberties...Absolutely! I love the format of the book more than the actual characters (and that's not usually the case for me and very unlike my view of P&P) so I'm pleased with the changes. I suppose if I loved Catherine and Henry as they were in the book (*ha*), then I'd be upset. And while NA is my second favourite Austen book, it is by no means anywhere near my favourite novels. I've read it once. I think I would only be picky with two, maybe three, favourite novels when they are made into an adaptation. I have loosened up a bit since P&P2005 too -- not that I still don't hate it (haven't changed there), but I found when I started to watch the 1996 mini-series shortly after 2005, I was hyper-critical of it too, having spent so much time discussing the book in the fandom. I'm much more laid back now

He! I loved this adaptation too, even when the book is still the nonplusultra for me. Gotta love me a Henry Tilney! Teasing, teasing man! ♥ I always felt like HT was a little bit like a male Lizzy Bennet, only without the prejudice. Witty, lively, charming and capable of some goodnatured teasing.
And there was a Henry Tilney challenge over at hero_stills. I am sure you'll find something there. :)
