It was late afternoon, almost early evening, really. Ron had just come home from printing books. One day, he might get around to opening an amusement centre in Stoatshead Hill, but it didn't feel as pressing to him as it had once done. Now he was more concerned for the life he and Lavender were building together.

Arriving home, he was greeted by Trevor, who jumped up and pawed at Ron's jeans until he bent down and petted the frisky little dog. When Trevor had enough petting, Ron walked toward the kitchen, where he could smell tea.

Lavender was home, which made Ron smile.

Standing in the kitchen doorway, he crossed his arms over his chest and smiled as Lavender looked up at him from her tea cup.

"Hey. You just having some tea or are you reading the leaves too?" he asked.

"A bit of both." Lavender smiled put down the cup and saucer before standing up. She stood on tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek, a hand resting on his hip. "Hi, sweetheart. How was your day?"

Trevor yapped at her feet and Lavender grinned down at him. "I already said 'hello' to you when I got in."

"My day was pretty good," Ron said, squeezing Lavender's shoulder as she kissed his cheek. Trevor was very hyper, yapping at Lavender now, and Ron gave the dog a skeptical look. "Just give us a minute or two, Trev. I'll take you for a walk soon." Ron had got into the habit of taking the dog out for an afternoon or early evening walk and he could tell that Trevor was anxious to go exploring again. Trevor, being the smart little dog he was, stopped yapping and went to sit near the door to the back yard.

Ron wasn't a fan of Divination, but he knew Lavender loved it, so he humoured her. "So what's the news in the cup?" he asked lightly. "No Grims, I hope."

"Good. I'm glad."

Lavender laughed as Trevor went to see by the door and she heard a couple of dull thuds as his tail hit the wall when he wagged it. She rolled her eyes at Ron's question, knowing he didn't put much stock in divination. It wasn't something that she had much opportunity to indulge in these days.

"No Grins," she assured him. "The cup was telling me about a feeling of completion. And love and good health. So nothing new at all, really."
