Neville hurried into the hospital, carrying freshly cut leaves for a poultice one of the Healers had owled him for, wondering if it was too late (early?) to drop them off. He had just returned from Egypt when the owl had flown in, and the preparation for the cuttings had taken several hours.

After dropping off the leaves, he turned to leave and was passing the reception desk when he did a double take. Ginny was leaning against the counter across the room from him, apparently lost in thought.

"Ginny?" he said, smiling tiredly as he walked across the room toward her.

All the case files were updated, she'd even put the case files away and had organized the reception desk, bored witless as she was. Two thesis papers were finished and she'd begun a third when a kink in her neck made her stand and wander out to the reception area again.

Scanning the overnight owls, Ginny was surprised to hear someone call her name, looking up to see a disleveled Neville smiling at her. Circling around the counter, she pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek. "Neville! What a wonderful surprise. Whatever are you doing here at this hour?"

Neville laughed and dragged a hand through his hair, knowing he must look a fright. "I dropped off some cuttings for one of the Healers. I'm surprised to find you here this late, but glad all the same. I'm sorry I had to leave in such a rush last month and cancel our dinners." He'd missed the lovely conversations they'd had. The food, as well. Egyptian restaurants just couldn't make a good Shepherd's Pie, no matter how they might try.

"It's my turn for an on-call shift and you can imagine that the graveyard's aren't that popular. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't so quiet around here," she shrugged, turning to set her tea mug down on the counter behind her. "Oh, well, I missed you but it's not as if I don't understand being a workaholic." Ginny gave him a lop-sided shy smile and gestured to the room around them. "Are you just back then?"
