Marcus had just finished looking over the scouting reports for Bugaria game and decided that he needed to take a jog. He needed to clear his mind, the swirl of emotions that he'd felt since he returned from Toronto. He was going to ask Padma to marry her soon but first he'd need to find a ring. He never had been one to make grand gestures but he wondered if this would be the time for one. All these thoughts frustrated the fuck out of him and he didn't know how the hell to even start this process ( ... )

Marcus seemed....unsettled. Or riled up about something. Orla figured she'd wait and see if he decided to tell her before she called him on it. Not out of curiosity, but more out of a desire to help if possible.

"Renovations." She stopped rocking and gestured over her shoulder into the front windows behind her, where the beginings of a wall were going up. "Decided it was time to make this place more appropriate for a counselling practice."

She stood and pointed out a few aspects to him. "The main room will be split in half, with the back part as an office with an outside entrance and a door into the hallway. There's more being done upstairs for my living space, but I'm looking forward to having my work space a bit more clearly defined."

She smiled up at him. "How have you been? Quidditch has been going well, I hear. Did you enjoy Toronto?" She wasn't sure if Padma told him they went shopping, so she left that unsaid.

"Think its time I got used to the idea of putting down roots here." She gave a gusty sigh. She was relieved to have taken that step, to making her house her home more fully. It might not stay that way if, heaven forbid, she ever married, but she was giving it a go.

She moved to perch on the railing, getting a good hold of the edge to stay steady. "I'm ok for my bathroom and kitchen at the moment, but when I change my mind and go for the palatial spa Dean suggested, I'll be sure to owl." She chuckled.

She shook her head. "Never get word in advance to get a portkey to join everyone. But it sounds like the team is doing famously, so I will have to hurry up and get a ticket before it sells out."

"Oh." She squirmed a bit happily on her perch. "It was great fun. Huge, and a bit scary, all those Americans, and the muggles over there are a bit odd, but it was a great time. I had loads of fun with Padma." She grinned up at him. "So I hear you're living at the observatory now. How's that going for you?"
