RP: Precious Time Together

"You," Lavender whispered roughly to her reflection in the mirror, "are being completely ridiculous." For some reason, it needed to be said aloud, even just while she was in the bathroom. She'd barely seen Ron for the last few weeks because of both of their schedules being completely ridiculous and even last weekend after the Togo match Lavender had only managed to see Ron briefly before she did a late shift on Sunday evening, after which it was, naturally, Monday morning and they were back to the craziness of it all again.
They'd set tonight aside though, spending an evening in and they'd just finished the dinner that they'd cooked together. She felt ridiculous, because for some reason she felt nervous. She'd missed Ron terribly and usually fell asleep wishing he was there in her bed, but she was sure that was no reason to be nervous as though this was their first date or something. She could almost feel herself growing more selfish by the day and hoping that Britain didn't spend much longer in the World Cup competition, which was a horrible thought; she simply didn't want to be separated from Ron like this all the time. They'd be living together soon enough, she knew, once they'd found the time to find somewhere to live. Time seemed to be such a tricky thing right now.
Lavender dried her hands on a towel and left the bathroom to rejoin Ron. She smiled as she found him on the sofa, sitting next to him and putting her legs over his lap to cuddle close to him. "'M so glad you're here," she murmured, kissing his cheek. "I prefer getting dinner for you rather than the cats any day."
