Editor's Letter
My Dear Readers,
I am pleased to introduce to you the first postwar edition of The Daily Prophet. With it's new offices in Stoatshead Hill, and its own printing press once again, I believed the paper ready to return to its full name. It will not yet be a daily, quite, but our aim here at the Prophet is to begin with a weekly paper and increase to daily once our office team and network of reporters grows.
To that end, the Daily Prophet is calling for writers, editors and other office staff. If you've ever wanted to write, or if you would like to work in some other capacity in helping Britain's largest media institution regain its feet, send me an owl or drop by the offices (Cnr Gold and E, Stoatshead Hill) during business hours.
Enjoy the edition!

Town-Wide Music Festival Draws Support for New Hospital
by Luna Lovegood
For one day in late August, Stoatshead Hill was home to some of the best Wizarding acts on the Continent, who all came together at the Quidditch Pitch to share their music for a good cause.
At nearly a year since the war ended, rebuilding the town's hospital has been a long time coming, especially for those of us who work there or are long-term patients. Now, Top Cat Builders, an outfit right here in Stoatshead, is handling the project, and building is well on its way to being completed. Not only is the current building being totally renovated on the inside and out, but there will also be a brand-new building on site to allow room for new and expanded divisions. It's largely thanks to funds raised by the residents of Stoatshead Hill, and even generous donations from out of town. The hospital received Ministry assistance to cover start-up costs.
Many new updates are planned for the hospital, including a separate wing for non-magical maladies, full maternity and prenatal care unit, emergency unit, and a long-term care unit, to name a few of the divisions that will be added to existing ones.
It was a hot day, but many townspeople as well as visitors turned out for food and a full day of music headlined by the Weird Sisters. I spoke to the lead singer of the popular group for comment about the day, but it turns out that her speaking voice, while quite melodic, is every bit as indecipherable as her singing voice. She seemed to be having a lot of fun, though.
The Stoatshead Hill Music Club was on hand, as well as volunteers from the hospital's rebuilding committee, to lend their time and services in setting up. Food was provided by Socks and Five Alarm, and actually went quite fast. As the afternoon stretched into evening with a Weasleys' fireworks display, enough funds were raised to see the new hospital to its completion.
