Lavender arrived with Ron, a little nervous that they were going to be late, but finding that they had nothing to worry about when they arrived at the town hall for the ceremony. Giving Ron a quick kiss, Lavender took a seat as Ron went to join his brother and take on his best man duties.

Her lips quirked into a small smile as she watched Ron, smoothing her green dress robes over her knees as she sat down, making sure that they didn't wrinkle. Both Ron and his brother looked very handsome in their dress robes and Lavender felt sure she couldn't be blamed for her mouth going a little dry when she had first seen Ron in his robes. Really, there ought to be more occasions for men to wear formal robes.

She glanced around, seeing a couple of people that she recognised. Lavender couldn't remember the last wedding that she'd been to, but this was definitely the first she'd been to since the end of the war.

After Percy noticed Lavender, Ron glanced at her again and smiled. There was something about being part of this wedding that was giving Ron all sorts of thoughts he probably shouldn't have just yet. The fact that Cedric had offered to let Ron move into his cottage (now that he was essentially living with Katie) had started those thoughts, and seeing Lavender in her dress robes, her hair flowing loose around her shoulders, almost took his breath away.

Love you, he mouthed, his lips curling up slightly.

Lavender was lost in her own thoughts for a few moments - stupidly practical ones like how she needed to clean her flat properly at some point - when she realised that Ron was looking at her. Something about his gaze made her blush a little and a smile broke across her face as she recognised his mouthed words.

Love you, too, she told him, feeling a little warm as he looked at her.

Mafalda cleared her throat as she saw that Morag was ready to make her entrance. A strand of the ivy was apparently intent upon twining into her hair, and she wordlessly Repelled it back up into the arch among the white roses, then stepped forward slightly into the light.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she began. "If I may."

The crowd quieted slightly and shifted in their seats, and she lifted her chin toward the back of the room for Morag to begin.

Morag let her attendants preceed her down the aisle, palms slightly sweaty around the small bouquet of white roses. She had her father next to her, although they hadn't spoken much, but she was looking at Percy in his lovely gray robes at the altar.

It seemed to take ages to walk down the aisle up to the arch, and she admired the handiwork in the ivy, roses, and fairylights - Terry had only knocked over the arch twice when they were decorating it, and it looked lovely. Everything was very simply decorated, but really, Morag didn't mind. She helped her father move her veil back behind her head before giving him a perfunctory kiss on the cheek.

Turning to Percy, she gave him a tentative smile, hoping he wasn't as nervous as he looked.

Percy's face was very solemn as he took in the sight of Morag walking up the aisle in her gorgeous dress. She looked exquisite, and even his brief flare of desire was lost in the wonder that such a beautiful, good, kind woman should want to marry him. Marry him! Be his wife and the mother of his children and stay with him forever!

He returned Morag's smile briefly, then took her hand and turned towards the Minister, his eyes shining with gratitude. Though he was sorry not to see his mother or Charlie, it meant something to him to have the Minister there to marry them. Particularly as she'd been so supportive of Percy, so unlike past Ministers he'd served. It made the wedding even more important and special.

Glancing at his brother, Ron noticed that Percy was remarkably composed as he watched his bride walk up the aisle on her father's arm. Morag looked stunning in her old-fashioned wedding dress. It suited her, just as Percy's dress robes suited him, and Ron allowed himself to admire his future sister-in-law for just a moment as she finally stood next to Percy and kissed his cheek.

With a tiny smile he made a thumb's up motion, then looked toward the Minister of Magic, hoping the ceremony would start soon.

George held Ginny's hand as he led her inside to take their seats. "Ron looks more nervous than Percy does," he whispered to her as he nodded at his brothers. "And that's saying something. Percy looks a bit green."

He grinned at her. "You look lovely though." She did, in her new black dress robes and little black dress. "You need more material on that thing, but otherwise stunning. And not a bit nervous. You should be, with Fred and I both here. You know that no one is safe, yes?"

Looking around discretely, Ginny surmised the bulk of the strange faces would be Morag's family as George waited for her to take her seat. Leaning closer, she whispered in his ear so as not to disturb anyone. "At least Ron's not throwing up, so that's a bonus. Percy looks great, even if a bit peaked."

Smoothing her robes over her knees, Ginny was grateful to have found something decent at the second-hand shop as she couldn't have afforded anything better. The dress was ages old but thankfully a classic cut and she'd wanted to look good for Percy's sake. "I'm not nervous because I'll hex you both into next week if you even think of ruining Percy's day." Ginny squeezed his hand though.

"He's not throwing up yet," George said out of the corner of his mouth. "Give him time. I'm taking bets as to whether or not he'll spew during the vows, you know, if you want in."

"Ah, feel the love," he said dryly, squeezing her hand back and then slipping his arm around her and settling in to watch the ceremony. "I'd not know what to do if you weren't threatening me. I'd think you were ill. Brat."

"That's awful. I'd never wish Ron ill." Ginny leaned even closer, whispering softer. She paused, looking up to where Ron stood and then whispered. "Five quid he does."

Relaxing back in the seat, she folded her hands in her lap and resisted the urge to sniffle. She was very happy for Percy and just seeing him up there, looking so serious and proper made her eyes mist up. "I would be ill and I'd think you had something to do with it. Prat."

Morag looked lovely, but Mafalda couldn't help but smile at Percy's terribly sober yet terribly awed expression. She waited for the guests to settle again, as so many of them had turned to see the bride walking in, then spoke again. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls..."

Percy was grave and attentive as he listened to the wedding ceremony. He'd gone over it privately a few times so that he wouldn't make any mistakes--he was sure he would die of shame if he made an error at this, the most important moment of his life. He therefore looked slightly desperate as he assured the assembled company that he, Percy Ignatius, did indeed take Morag Eileen to be his wife. He was only pleased that his voice didn't crack or wobble at all as he did so. He squeezed Morag's hand very tightly.

Morag repeated her vows dutifully, squeezing Percy's hand back until it was almost painful. She supposed she should feel more jittery, but she was so very happy, she couldn't be nervous. The wedding was so lovely she could almost forget her horrid parents and that tiny niggling fear that Percy's family would talk to them. If only.

Looking very solemn, Percy spoke his vows, which Morag repeated. Their expressions were the sort of over-the-moon happiness that a bride and groom were supposed to have as they got married. Everything was going so well, and as Morag finished speaking, Percy nodded slightly toward Ron as if to say It's your turn now.

It was show time for Ron, time to play his only real role in the wedding, presenting the wedding ring to Percy so he could put it on his bride's finger. Reaching into the pocket on the left side of his robes, Ron found...nothing, not even a piece of lint. Trying not to panic, he pursed his lips as he dug slightly deeper. That was useless, of course; there was no ring to meet his fingers then either. Realising how embarrassing it would be to have to Summon the wedding ring during the ceremony, Ron took a little breath and dug into his other pocket.

Success.

Well, that could've been a disaster, he thought, smiling to cover up his confusion as he pulled the ring out and carefully handed it to Percy.

"Not in front of a crowd of people, Ronald," Percy said repressively, but it was hard to sound stern when he was smiling so much. He could see his mother sitting near his brothers, friends scattered throughout, and he wondered how anything could be better than such a perfect day.

Turning, he shook the Minister's hand, giving her his heartfelt thanks. Then he riveted Morag to his waist with his free arm, leaning rather heavily on his walking stick with the other. The long period of standing hadn't been much good for his leg. Indeed, it throbbed rather painfully, but he didn't mind as he limped down the aisle, his beautiful bride clinging to him in a very satisfactory manner.

Now all he had to do was keep her from divorcing him when she met the twins.
