Justin pushed the door open, stepping inside with a small sigh of relief. It was warm in here- warmer than outside, at least. He was beginning to think a hot shower sounded good. And then maybe he'd see what was up in his new flat. Reaching down, he rubbed absentmindedly at his knee before straightening and limping toward his rooms.

Just a few steps in, he paused. He saw a vaguely familiar bloke and he smiled slightly, not quite wanting to limp past the figure. He also didn't really want to speak first, but that was a rather irrational thought that he shoved away before raking his fingers through his hair and smiling a bit awkwardly. Shuffling his feet, he nodded slightly. "Hullo, there."

Seamus glanced up at the voice and paused, recognizing the bloke in front of him. "Er, hello," Seamus responded, scratching at his head. He was having trouble placing a name to the face in front of him. He cocked his head to the side, probing his memory in search of a name.

He remembered a tall, rather funny-looking boy from Hogwarts with the same brown hair and same awkward grin. His name was on the tip of his tongue, really, it was. A memory from his second year flashed into his mind, when Harry and Malfoy were asked to duel with one another. And then, the boy in his memory transformed, the awkward grin turned into a look of fright, and Seamus smiled, feeling victorious. "Justin. How are you? And what the bloody hell is going on out there?"

"I'm alright," Justin replied, his mind racing as he tried to place a name to the face. Merlin, this place was just full of people from his past, wasn't it? They all seemed to remember him, and he felt like shite for not recalling- oh!

"Er..Finnegan, right? Seamus?" he asked, reaching up to tug on his hair.

"Celebration. The news is, Voldemort's dead. War's over. All of that sort of good news- they're going crazy out there."

Seamus stared at Justin in shock. To wake up one morning, and have the war just be over? Just like that? It wasn't at all what he expected. He thought that it would come gradually, that news would be recieved that things were getting close to ending, and then it would happen. One side would triumph over the other.

Not that he was upset that it happened this way, of course. All he could hope for was that the people he had once known and still cared about were alive. He glanced back up at Justin.

"Harry, Hermione, and Ron? The Order? Everyone else? Are they okay? Do we know that yet?"

Penelope made her way to the lift. Despite being blind for several years now, she had never quite mastered the art of stairs. The last time she had attempted them had been at her brother’s house and that had ended with her sitting on the sofa with a bag of ice clutched to her head for several hours. Yes, the lift would be the way to go. After all, death by stairs seemed a might anti-climatic after such absolutely fantastic news ( ... )

Seamus grinned at her and took her hand. "I'm Seamus Finnegan, and this," he told her, nodding in the direction of Justin, "is Justin Finch-Fletchley."

He looked her over for a moment, not really pausing on her unfocused eyes, but rather the cain in her hands. "Clearwater...why does your name sound so familiar?"

"Hello!"

Penelope shook his hand. It was warmer than her own and most certainly larger. Irish accent. And well, really, with a name like Seamus Finnegan that wasn't all that surprising.

"I was Head Girl back in 1993 if that's of any help," she replied, "and there was that unfortunate incident with the Basilisk."

Seamus nodded in recognition.

"Yes, that does help quite a bit, actually." He grinned, placing her in his memory instantly.

"You were the one who dated Percy Weasley, weren't you?"
