Roger came in from his run refreshed and ready for a day of relaxing with Hermione. Yesterday had been beautiful, weather-wise, but he'd spent it holed up in the library, working. He'd shuffled some things around so that he could do the work he'd normally do today yesterday. Extra hours in the shop and doing on-site jobs were more than worth it to have today free.
And, well, he could do his laundry tomorrow. Or the next day. Whenever.
He'd actually wondered if because yesterday had been so sunny and nice that they'd be unlucky and get rain today. But, it was very sunny, and warmer than it had been in a while, so they'd been lucky today. Saturday was typically their day for dates, even before they'd been dating. It had actually been a bit of a jolt yesterday to realise he'd not be seeing her. As he finished showering and dressed in denims and a jumper, he thought that it didn't much matter which day he saw her, and they had spent time together on Friday evening, both at Socks, then after.
Shrugging into his jacket, he smiled slightly. He had no idea where they were going today, and neither did Hermione as far as he knew. But the plan was to head off without a set destination, which would be fun, so long as they could stick to it and not try to plan anything other than food. He left his cottage and went to Hermione's on foot, then knocked on the door. He didn't stop by the shed to check on his motorbike as he'd wiped it down and made sure there was plenty of fuel last night.
