Since she had spoken to Romilda, Daphne had been feeling a tiny bit better. Not much though. She was still terribly confused about a lot of things, and the dull ache behind her sternum was still there. But she had eaten a little more and slept a little better. Romilda had told her that Theo was planning on moving out of town, and Daphne had decided that it would be best if she could have a talk with him first. She wasn't counting on being treated any better than she had been that day when she had seen... that, but she was determined that no matter what she would keep her head cool and tell him exactly what she thought he was made of. She would ask him why he had led her on the way he had, and tell him that she was fully aware of what sort of person he had been towards Romilda. Basically she just needed to come to terms with a few things before she felt she was able to move on.
Which was she was standing in the middle of his abandoned house. There wasn't as much as a glimpse of a shadow anywhere in the house, and Daphne had searched every single room. It was almost as if he had never been here at all.
Fury welled up in her. Theo had robbed her of her affections, her trust, her love and her dreams for their future. And now he had even robbed her of her closure. She was so angry she was almost shaking and she wanted to kick something.
"Theodore Nott!" she screamed at the empty house, "You're a lying, cheating son of a bitch!"
As she turned to leave her eyes fell on the doorway where she had stood almost paralysed with shock just a week ago. A sudden thought popped into her head and she frowned as she remembered the biscuits she had brought that day.
The bag was gone. He must have taken them with him. So he was not only a creep, he was a creep who was eating her biscuits.
"ARGH! I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON THEM, YOU BASTARD!" she raged and slammed the front door behind her.
Stomping angrily she walked back towards her home, only to stop outside the 5 Alarm.
"Oh, sod it!" she hissed to herself and went inside. She planted herself on a stool at the bar and demanded a Bloody Mary which she quickly gulped down and ordered another.
