RP: Cooking is fun

Summary: Hermione shows Roger how to cook something.

Roger Apparated to his porch, shifting the bag of groceries from his right arm to his left as he opened the door to his house and stepped inside. He placed his bag onto the kitchen counter and turned on the lights. Checking his clock, he was just in time to grab a shower and pick up Hermione at the shop. They'd agreed to get together yesterday when he'd stopped by the shop on his lunch break.
Hermione'd not been taking a break, of course. She'd said she had planned on it, but he doubted it. It didn't matter; he'd made her take one. (A short one.) Then they'd made plans for a little cooking lesson tonight when they were both finished working. Roger had figured spaghetti was relatively hard to get wrong.
He pulled the ingredients he'd bought in Exeter out-- it had been more than a little embarrassing to have the clerk explain to him what to buy. Not that the basics-- noodles and tomatoes, parmesan cheese, meat-- were too hard to figure out. He'd not needed help wiith those. Of course, then there were all these spices. And Roger had been clueless beyond garlic. At that point, he'd needed to buckle down and ask someone. But the wine had been easy enough. With spaghetti, Italian red was a good choice, so he'd picked up something nice.
After a shower, he dressed in denims and a jumper and popped over to the shop. He went inside, looking around for Hermione. By this time, he figured she'd have got off just a bit ago.
