some crossover funtimes

Apr 28, 2009 21:32

This partly arose from an lgbtfest prompt about Pepper; my brain turned it into a Rent crossover with little hesitation, and this is the result.
in which Pepper finds a reason to take some of her accrued vacation time )

iron man, crossovers, rent

I really enjoyed this. Your character voices and the relationship between Tony and Pepper was really nicely done. I find Pepper/Joanne very believable, especially the way you write them.

Thanks for sharing!

(I really need an icon with Pepper in, note to self.)

I kinda want to review this in capslock because it is SO FREAKING AWESOME. And I haven't even seen Rent! Pepper being Pepper and finding someone who can be awesome for her, and Tony not being an asshole, and all the things that make a life not just a romance novel...

Anyway. If I were independently wealthy, I would pay you to write stuff for me. As it is, I'll just say THANK YOU!!! THIS IS AWESOME with a maximum of capslock and emphasis, but at least a minimum of sparkles, and go find other stuff you've written.

Oh, and continue drawing little hearts around the WHOLE DAMN FIC, because it ROCKS.

Thank you so much! This is an awesome kind of feedback to find, of a morning.
Even if I hadn't gone the crossover route, I think it would have been a life and not a romance novel; Pepper's too sensible for a romance novel. The crossover just threw in a few more complications (long-distance sucks even if it does help keep the relationship under wraps).
Feel free to poke around ye olde fic journal; there's other Iron Man stuff to be had (it should all be here). I hope you enjoy it.

(Found from lgbtfest)

In the department of crossovers I never thought I would see or see work, this is one of them and I really like it. The relationship builds without being too abrupt and the 'verses mesh nicely.

I never thought I'd be writing it, but then my brain applied 'What's his name?' 'Joanne.' to the prompt, and here we are.

...and is that an Enchanted Forest reference in your username? Princess Cimorene, yes?
