Finally made a decision
After many hours of stressing, a friend told me about another fabric market in the city. The market is popular because it sells cast offs, ends of bolts and faulty fabrics at a discount. I found a printed cotton that for really work for an angalise. So work has started.

Constant state of confusion and indecision
I was so ready to work on 1880s clothing now my brain hurts. Due to the sewing machine still not being useable, I have been trying to decide what to make next, and the usual costuming ADD has been in full swing. Sewing machines woes
Sewing machine got fixed and then broke again. This will be the tired time I will get it fixed for the same problem. For a while now I have wanted to get a stronger machine but didn't think it would be this soon. It was expensive when I bought it, but that was 6 years ago.
So need to decide keep getting it fixed or buy a stronger machine. -
1880s corset mock up
I have not forgotten my grand statement of starting a new, however I am not going to become a social media goddess over night, I’m trying. But it does seem adding pictures to dreamwidth posts is not so easy.
I’m still waiting for my sewing machine to be fixed, fingers crossed I will get the call tomorrow.

New start
I like many others have moved over from LJ Dream width is not as easy to use so will keep both but have LJ as my primary. I haven't done this just because the majority of other people have made the move (though that did play a factor) I moved because I wanted a new start ( Read more... ) -
Not a great start to the year of corsets
I spent about 2 months reading about different ways of drafting and sewing corsets, when I finally have what looks like a decent 1880s pattern made up and cut my sewing machine dies.
Until I can get it fixed I guess I'll do some more pattern drafting and embroidery.
And to top it all off now I can't access Pinterest. -

I know it has been a long time since I updated anything on LJ, but the masters degree is almost finished and then I will have not excuse.

A big catch up
Living here in China means you have to sacrifice a lot of website and sometimes they come and go for any number of different reasons. A few months ago I couldn’t access LJ after about a month I gave up trying. Last week I gave it another go and lo and behold it was working again.
