I totally missed (on purpose because my mom actually texted me when it was starting) the first half hour of the Tony Awards yesterday to watch Selena Gomez guest star on Sonny With a Chance.
XD Me too! I just love the attitude it has. A very "I don't care what you think of me for being a Disney girl, I'm happy!" type of song... Which I just think is very cool.
Exactly. Being criticized for everything would get on anybody's nerves after a while. And with Disney, you risk being criticized by conservative parents AND mainstream media. And that Christian mothers group thing i never even heard about! (i never even heard about Miley supporting gay marriage

you're definitely not alone in thinking they're together. a lot of people think demi's a lesbian, but i think she'd be bi if anything. selena on the other hand... she's dated nick jonas and taylor lautner but i don't know... i think she'd come out first :P i get that vibe from her for some reason

Demi definitely seems to have that mature air about her for some reason. Selena is confident and awesome, but it seems to fit with her age. Demi I think could sometimes be 30 and have the exact same personality and way of speaking...but it just fits her. And yes, she makes it easy to look up to her despite her younger age. And I could see her coming from something painful in her past like that. It would definitely explain why she seems so mature now, coming from something like that. And if Selena was with her through that, it would also explain even more the girls close relationship. And I follow her (and Selena) now on Twitter too (XD I used your twitter to find her real one btw), and didn't see that entry, and metal music I have to admit I did listen more to when I was clinically depressed than I do now--although I know plenty of people who just enjoy listening to it and are fine, and the second part...I think she meant more that if she wasn't a Disney role model, she'd be more edgey, and I can see that for myself too: that if I end

Ah, that was absolutely NOT the vibe I wanted to send! I wanted this entry to show that I officially WAS a fan of her (when I used to not be so much). X_X
Anyway, the reason I used to not like her as much, was that: 1) the way she sang didn't seem appropriate for the songs, although now I know it was the other way around and her songs are much more complimentary to her voice now, and 2) yes, I used to upset for her role in Camp Rock, but only for the fact that it seemed to take away from Selena's rising stardom, something I'm completely over now.
Oh, no, I wasn't saying that about you at all! Sorry it came across that way! I was just saying that as soon as it came she was going to star in Camp Rock, people started hating on her and I was never really sure why that was, and I was curious if you knew since you're more active in the Disney fandoms than I am.
Okay, good. I was worried I sent the wrong message in my entry! XD
I was never (and still despite now being a Demi fan still am not) in the Camp Rock fandom. However, my guess would be because 1) she took Selena's spot and crown of "next Miley Cyrus", 2) she was the love interest of the Jonas Brothers in the movie so crazy fans probably resented her for that and 3) she was at the time a rock singer singing pop songs (she sang loudly a lot of the time when typically certain parts would be sung soft, giving the impression to some that she didn't know how to sing, instead of the truth that she was used to singing a different style).

I dunno, I personally think she's adorable and am seeing her in concert with David Archuleta this summer. :)
