A MASSIVE photo-update entry in which I apologise for being a neglectful asshole.

So, first off all, I am blaming Diablo 3 entirely.

Bullshit excuse, I know! But I seriously played the SHIT out of that game. It was beyond ridiculous. I neglected pretty much everything in my life except my furkids XD; So I don't blame any of you if you see this entry and skip right past it, because I have been a neglectful eljay friend and I know ( Read more... )

*tee hee* Why thank you! :D

Yeah, it's tearing me up inside. I grew up with outdoor/indoor cats, and they all lived to be in their 20s. I know that's not statistically normal, but *shrug*

I will from now on only be letting her out on either a harness or in some sort of pen...thingie. I've heard of something called Kitty Walk and am going to look into it.

Good to see you around again :-) Looks like you've been having a great time! Except for Siren, poor kitty. Hope she does ok.

Those doggie pictures are amazing! Glad your cat is going to recover - we had all indoor/outdoor cats when I was growing up, including several barn cats, and the vats majority of them lived to old age. I agree that the enrichment of their lives gained by having access to the outdoors is worth the risk.

Love the new haircut, too. Reminds me of:

Thank you!! <3

Thanks, I just need to come to terms with the guilt and then figure out a way to either build her an enclosure or something so that she can still experience the outdoors safely!

Strange to think what a shy, feral kitten Siren used to be! I admit I gasped when I saw the photo of her back, she looks awful. Cats tend to rebound pretty quickly though, and if she's behaving like her normal self there shouldn't be anything to worry about. So long as the wound doesn't fester and she becomes lethargic!

I hear ya on the out doorsy cat thing, though. I have a minor heart attack whenever I see a cat wandering the streets here (I live smack in the middle of Copenhagen, which is full of roads that are busy 24/7), but further out in the countryside and suchlike, I don't think it's fair to keep a cat indoors. There are risks, and they worry me, of course, but yeah. Cats should be allowed to be cats if at all possible.

I always love seeing photos from you on fb and here, you're such a good photographer! <3

Yeah, she has been a trooper. For how much pain she was in, it's amazing that she is healing as fast as she is.

Thanks Moony! :D
