Thank you, as I was writing this I suddenly felt awful for Marcie. I really liked that line myself, I did some rearrannging so I could keep it in so I didn't go over word count!

You do so much with so few words! These are especially wonderful:
She tried to become them; a carbon copy, a paint by numbers version that would never be as good as the original.
She was a waste of yearbook space. Their chipper, painfully identical yearbook inscriptions were proof of that.
