Yoochun felt almost breathless. His feet now felt sluggish and were in desperate need of rest.
But I can’t rest now, he thought. He needed answers.
Taking a deep breath, Yoochun quickly marched towards the door and into his hyung’s bookstore.

The bell near the door signaled an arrival. Jaejoong took a glance, expecting to see a customer wanting to buy a book but, instead, he saw a tired-looking Yoochun standing and panting by the hallway. He smiled to himself. Jaejoong walked away from the bookshelves and towards his friend.
“Wow. That was fast. I didn’t expect to see you for an hour or so.” he said in an amused tone.
Yoochun gave him a smirk-or maybe just a weird facial expression; Jaejoong couldn’t tell since his friend was still panting like hell-and went to sit on the nearest chair.
“Yah… Is… it… true… hyung?” the younger guy asked in between breaths.
Jaejoong chuckled. “Ah… So you ran all the way here from your apartment-what, six or eight blocks away-just to confirm if Junsu really is dating another guy?”
Yoochun let out a scowl as best as he could. “Yah! I didn’t actually run here, hyung. I just saw your text and, since I was jogging, I decided to pass by.”
Jaejoong raised an eyebrow and looked at what his younger friend was wearing: cream-colored cargo pants and a white polo t-shirt-an outfit far from sweatpants and sweatshirts normal people wear when exercising.
“Uh-huh. I can see that.” The older guy said sardonically.
“Anyway, what’s the deal with Junsu?” Yoochun asked, acting like it was a subject of no real importance to him. “He’s dating another guy? I thought he already told us that.”
Jaejoong smiled amusingly. “It’s a different guy this time.”
Yoochun’s mouth fell open. Omo! Another one? Oh, please no! “What?! How many guys is he actually dating?” he asked, trying but failing to mask the annoyance and jealousy he was feeling.
“I don’t know.” The older guy grinned. “Two?”
Yoochun lips pursed tighter.
“Three?”
And tighter.
“Maybe more.”
Yoochun was near to biting his lip and making it bleed. But he stopped himself.
“I’m not really sure how many guys he’s seeing.” Jaejoong said, toying with his younger friend more.
“O-ohhh… I see…” Yoochun mumbled, more to himself than to his hyung.
Jaejoong shook his head and looked at him more seriously. “Yah, Yoochun-ah,” he said in a stern voice. “If it bothers you, you could just say something you know.”
Yoochun pouted and heaved out a sigh. “I know.” He said softly.
“Then why don’t you?”
Yoochun shot him an incredulous look. “What? You mean actually tell Junsu I have feelings for him?”
“Uh-huh.”
“I can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
Yoochun sighed and looked down at his own feet. “It’s Junsu… I don’t know. It’s complicated. I’m sure he only considers me as a friend.”
Jaejoong shook his head. “You don’t know for sure.”
“Yeah, well, I’m pretty sure about it.” the younger guy said bitterly. “There’s no hope for us.”
“What? You’re just gonna give up?”
“I don’t know… Maybe…”

“So, Junsu-sshi, Yunho-hyung told me you work as a journalist.”
The tall guy with cute, mismatched eyes peered at the guy in question, making the latter blush.
Junsu cleared his throat and looked down for a second then back at his date again. “Uh, yeah.” He answered. “Uhm, why? Don’t tell me you’re a model who’s looking for a spread.”
Changmin chuckled. “Don’t be silly, Junsu-sshi. I may be tall but I can’t be one of those models.”
“Why not?” Junsu pressed on, grinning. “You surely have the looks.” Oh, hell. Here I go again. I’m flirting.
The younger guy chuckled again. “I’m flattered by that, Junsu-sshi but I’m really not a model.”
Junsu unknowingly broke into a flirtatious smile… again. This was the umpteenth time he had done this, a clear indication that he likes this guy and would do anything to impress him. Or that desperate enough to make the guy say yes so that the deal will be done in no time.
“What do you do then?”
Changmin took a sip of his wine first then smiled. “Well, to be honest, I’m still a student. I’m in my senior year, taking up a business course.”
“Wow. That’s interesting. Are you planning to open up a business once you’re done?” Junsu asked, batting his eyelashes as he did so.
Changmin smiled sheepishly. “Well, I don’t need to open up one. My parents own this little company. I’ll work there and, when the time comes, I’ll be taking over it.”
“Wow. That’s interesting.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“So, Changmin-sshi,” Junsu asked in an eager tone. “Tell me, why would a good-looking guy like you still be single? Surely there’s a lot of ladies and gentlemen going gaga over you.”
The guy in question blushed. “Junsu-sshi, you really are interesting… Well, I’m too busy with my studies to be in a relationship, to be honest, but I’m still open to the suggestion. I go on a few dates every now and then, though no one has suited my fancy… until now.”
It was Junsu’s turn to blush. “And what do you mean by that?”
Changmin grinned. “It’s the thing you’re thinking about, Junsu-sshi.” He winked. “So, how about you? A successful journalist and an all-time adorable and good-looking guy yet still single. I wonder why?”
Junsu feigned a grin.
Me? Single? A small voice in Junsu’s head said. It’s because I’m really unlucky when it comes to relationships and in finding the right person. I just came here so that I could find a guy for this deal I made with my hyung. I hope you don’t mind that I’m using you.
He swallowed nervously and mentally shoved those thoughts in the back of his mind. “Me? I’m just busy with my work, I guess.” He just said.
10 Ways to Choose the Wrong Person:
#3. Throw away common purpose.
“Two guys both busy with their own businesses yet looking for a little love…” Changmin said amusedly from behind his glass of red wine. “It’s a good thing Yunho-hyung got us together, huh?”
Junsu smiled sheepishly. “Uh-huh. Yeah. Good thing.”
