Wow.... you continue to amaze me. A virgin, a black Nebraskan, and now a non-masturbator.

A HORNY virgin, black Nebraskan, non-masturbator. Who is susceptible to persuasion, but strong willed.

Hee! I'm a hot mess is what I am ;)

I've been with gals who hadn't ever and didn't have a lot of experience...and it wasn't so much fun for everyone. Knowing what gets you off is important for both parties; if you can't tell him what's going to work, do you think he's going to know?

That being said, I've talked to a lot of gals who had to be 'taught' how to do it themselves by someone else, because what they did didn't work.

Oh I'm not shy about telling boys what I like and don't like. And I think I'm more of an element of surprise kind of gal. When I try to tickle or touch myself I don't feel anything, but if someone else does then it's like a million times better. I think anticipation is part of the turn on.

I think I'll be fine, and I think discovering via another persona can be loads of fun, but I don't know, it's never appealed to me.

Says the girl who likes sitting on top of dryers, hmm...

Helps insomnia? My goodness! LOL I don't like it. I only do it because my hubby likes me too. Its just not a turn on for me.

YEah, I think I would do it in front of my man, but it'd be porn star style I guess. I need my husband to be a freak...

Are you discussing this at work?!

Anyway, women who masturbate are also less likely to be frigid. On the flip side, women who do not masturbate and don't experience orgasm before a certain age are far more likely to have problems experiencing orgasm during intercourse.

Why is that even a study? Who studies that? I've always hated that implication though (and God no, I have a private space to myself, I don't talk about this crap at work!).

I can get that if you have one orgasm it's easier to have another, but I think it's just like greasing a hinge. You can still get there, it might just take some more patience if it's all rusted over.

Heh, how's THAT for analogy!

Surveys. They ask women if they masturbate, when they started, how they had their first orgasm, etc. It isn't the most reliable method of research (I usually couldn't accurately represent what I had for dinner the night before), but sex is hard to study.

I'd argue it's more of a "practice makes perfect" situation. Most women can't have orgasm from vaginal thrusts anyway, they need clitoral stimulation.

Basically by the time I found out what female masturbation was (seriously, I gave no thought to my own anatomy, not while there were boys around to be fondled) I figured that if I started it would cause me to give up looking for a man.

Stacey?

Please know that I like you. And that, therefore, only have your best interests in mind when I tell you that THIS IS THE DUMBEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD.

Except for possibly this:

I'm too got dang old!

Sue Johanson would rip you up one side and down the other for saying this shit; unfortunately, Sue is not here. But I am!

Stacey, please believe me when I say you are being fucking retarded about this. Saving actual penetrative sex for marriage is one thing, but not wanking is doing you and your future partner no favors. How is he going to know how to please you if you do not know what you like? And YES, sex is usually better than masturbation (please file this under "No Shit,") but who said you could only have one or the other? In fact, you can have them at the same timeYou said in a ( ... )

Hee! I know you love me girl so I take this fully to heart. I never believe when guys say they don't because how could they not? Everything is pretty much external and one day you'll hit the covers the wrong way and.. well you know.

My hang up is purely that I feel so pathetic about it. I think after I actually have sex then I'll be more open to it, but now it just seems like I'm throwing in the towel (so to speak?) and I can't give myself that out! Not yet!

I have a date on Sunday!

We'll see...

ps. I LOVE Sue Johansen, after Loveline left MTV they would do a double header on Lifetime with that and Sue. Greatest hour ever! Dr. Drew Pinsky (rawr!) and Sue? Fugeddaboutit!
