Ancient Eggnog Recipe

Small batch, awesome stuff.

Ingredients
  • 2 fresh eggs separated
  • 1/4 cup sugar separated into 2 8ths
  • 1/2 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 3/4 cup milk

You can just leave out the booze, but note that on the vanishingly rare chance there are harmful bacteria in the eggs, there will then be nothing to eradicate them.

You can also substitute soy milk and Splenda if you are so inclined, I did that a couple years ago and the results were still pretty damned good.

It should also be noted that the above will yield about three small nog mugs, no more. I am obviously the only one in my house that drinks the stuff, hence the small batch.
