These are so great. Number 3 killed me and number 4 made me shiver for Ligur's sake. (Not that I'm particularly fond of Ligur, I've just never really seen Adam as being that cold. Bit of a wake-up call, really.)

That's interesting, because neither had I - this is something that came to me when I was leafing through the novel, and I came across the bit where Adam says, "Seems to me like the only sensible thing is for people to know that when they kill a whale, they've got a dead whale on their hands."

I like your one-liners. Number 3 is great, of course, as is this one: The second is that Aziraphale could probably teach the sword a lesson or two in flaming.
And I really like number 11 as well. It just says so much about the two of them. :D
