No, Edward Cullen is not my neighbor, he lives in Forks, Washington which is in the Olympic Peninsula! All kidding aside! I think visiting Oregon is a great idea, and not just Oregon the Pacific Northwest, which includes Idaho and Washington state.
Ahhhh Portland is an urban forest....and you show that so nicely here! Bonus on the pics in your comment above...had to laugh--was thinking, "been there....been THERE....been THERE!" on all of them!
I can hardly wait for the horses to shed out so I can start taking pics of them again! You're making me want my camera back from the friend I loaned it to!
It was a mission of mercy...and the camera's an old one that I want to replace--the camera in my phone takes better pics--so if it doesn't come home, it doesn't come home because it's needed elsewhere.
oh no, sorry. I had an hour away. But I DID read and I wonder if you would keep us in mind if a house swap comes up. The thing about swapping with Amy is that we wouldn't get to meet, which is a shame. However, if it was friends of yours, then I could probably meet both of you. We wouldn't be looking to do it before 2012, though, thanks lovely.
It's in my mind now, and I'll put out feelers, we know several people who enjoy travel. Question is though, what season would you prefer to experience? Most people up here would probably like to go down during your summer or spring, so you'd be experiencing a north American fall or winter, can you handle winter, better, yet... two winters? Note, it doesn't snow here much.
Not everyday, and if it is happening, it's happening at higher elevations like in these pictures. Sometimes we get intense fog where I live, because I've got a lake and a river on both sides, and that insulates the cold air, but it's usually gone by 9 am.
I usually re-size pictures I post to LJ before posting them, not with html but in photoshop or Preview. That said, I really love that second picture down. I like the way the camera is focused on the tree in the foreground with the totem pole not being the central item of interest. It's really emotive and beautiful.
