For an article this week I had to interview a Billy Joel impersonator. So I looked online, last week, and found loads in America. Emailed the first couple and waited to hear back from them. Days passed, still nothing. So I grew anxious and emailed and called every single one I could find. I ended up leaving messages for men who can sing a bit like

with your keen eyes, faksta (or eib or crispin), i'm surprised you haven't noticed that livejournal is an extended messageboard where people write about small boring details from their own lives. this is not a newspaper, nobody is paid to write this stuff, nobody pays to read it - it's just a glorified message board where people natter aimlessly during their working days. when i write about other people i do it elsewhere, i work hard on it, i put thought into it and i get paid for it. it's my job. this is where i natter about myself.
