I was at a punk rock show when I found out that Obama won. Myself and two other people immediately hopped in my car and navigated INSANE Washington traffic to get ourselves as close to the White House as possible, and when we arrived there were hundreds - probably over a thousand, to be honest - people in front of it, chanting things like the ( Read more... )

today was indeed amazing, we were at the gas station next to a gay bar/restaurtant called Rosie's in Wilton Manors (lil gay part of Fort Lauderdale) when CNN called it & i could hear all the cheering from inside the actual store next door, it was amazing.. seriously, Dara + i drove home with tears streaming down our faces & all night long people were driving by honking + letting off fireworks!!

i was sad to see Prop 2 passed in FL though, but one step at a time eh?!

Oh Carl. It really did feel like being a part of history. The lights at the White House were still on and they turned them off in the middle of the demonstration-celebration. People were like, "Whatever, asshole, you're not getting ANY sleep tonight!" I left downtown at 3am and the place was poppin' like fuckin' Mardi Gras. There were that many people in the streets! Thousands! And downtown is a govt/business district so it's usually dead after like 10pm. It was fucking awesome.

These pictures are awesome. The DC picture was taken exactly where I was!
